This brand new class (launched 2018) is designed specifically for actors who are predominantly available during the day, who have some experience of training at the Howard Fine Acting Studio and who wish to progress their work.

This five-session class is ideal for actors that have NOT graduated from the Howard Fine Acting Studio's Full Time program, but have attended other classes.

Students are paired with a scene partner and then allocated a play from The Studio’s extensive library of modern classics and esteemed works. Students will be assigned sections of the text to rehearse and prepare outside of class following instruction from the course tutor. Students will develop their ability to examine a text, approach role preparation and the process of acting.

Actors will discover techniques that allow them to consistently live authentically during performances, with a strong connection to the life of their character, their emotional circumstances and the world of the play.

This class will be taught by Howard Fine Acting Studio's co-Founder and Director Philip Hayden.

Mondays 19 February - 19 March, 10am-1pm

Students must download and read the free studio ebook (this will take about 15 minutes to read) and watch Howard Fine’s Acting Advice Season 1 and 2 (plus the mini-season called Eight Steps Lecture Excerpts) on The Studio's YouTube channel (this will take about 20 minutes).

Students must also watch Uta Hagen's Master Class DVD by clicking here - Part 1 and Part 2. Please allow several days to watch this DVD as it is roughly three hours in duration.

Philip Hayden - a career actor who has performed roles on London's West End, in classic HBO drama Band of Brothers, in the hit Stan show Romper Stomper, been a semi regular on children's television for the BBC and for award-winning Australian theatre Company Red Stitch.
