FOUR WEEK SCENE INTENSIVE WITH DIRECTOR SCOTT MAJOR


This 4-week intensive is a scene study series led by experienced industry director, Scott Major, designed for actors ready to jump into real, immediate, high-impact work.

Each week, you’ll tackle a brand new scene; fresh material, fresh partner, fresh direction. You’ll apply feedback on the fly, hone your instincts, and build confidence under pressure.

PREREQUISITE

Intermediate acting experience or prior trainings with Scott Major.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Weekly new scenes: you will receive a new scene each week to prepare, but major adjustments and discoveries will happen in class.

  • Scene partners rotate: you’ll work with different partners to learn relationship dynamics.

  • On-the-fly adjustments: direction will shift mid-scene; you’ll learn instant adaptation.

  • Homework & reflection: short tasks to integrate feedback between sessions.

CLASS TUTOR

SCOTT MAJOR

Scott is an award-winning director, actor, producer and writer. He has worked extensively in television, theatre and film around the world for the last 30 years. Scott’s directing credits includes the Stan feature film Darklands, Neighbours, Playing For Keeps, Riptide and Lie With Me. As an actor, Scott has performed leading roles in Heartbreak High, Wildside, Neighbours, Always Greener and Late for School, amongst many others. Film credits include Envy, He Died With A Falafal In His Hand, Ned, Trench and The Heartbreak Kid. He founded Bathroom Floor Productions in 2004 and his recent theatre work includes All The Intimacy, Both Sides of the Bar, The Fellatio Monologues, Death in a Box: one pussy's tale, The Subtle Art of Flirting, Closer, Terminus and Salt. Scott is an ADG award winning director and was also co-founder and director of the Poppy Seed Theatre Festival.
