I urge anyone considering it to try it out.”

    James Bourke (10 Week Program)

  • “Awesome teachers, cool facilities, convenient location, loads of learning.

Just finished a course and it’s easily one of the best things that I’ve ever done. The course was so well designed that every time I was unsure about something during practice, I found answers in the next lesson. It was a magical experience.”

    Suny J’Daka (10 Week Program)

  • “Phil and the team are some of the best teachers I've ever worked with. I was feeling quite lost and doubting my abilities and choices prior to starting the 10-week intensive, and it was just what I needed to put me back on track.

It has inspired me and renewed my confidence out of sight. The voice masterclass with Sass was incredible! HIGHLY recommended to all.”

    Ross Larkin (10 Week Program)

  • “I discovered Howard Fine Acting Studio in 2021, I had done a few other programs beforehand and I thought I knew what acting was… boy was I wrong.

I love the way of learning and teaching at HF, the faculty challenges you and guides you to discover yourself and your mind but don’t push you into mental anguish. I found my home away from home and my clique at the studio. The faculty aren’t your teachers, they’re your colleagues.

I recommend HF to anyone I come across, they have free open classes.

Any actor who wants to be the best they can, go to Howard Fine Acting Studio.”

    Chris Papadopoulos (10 Week Program)

Course Breakdown

  • The 10 Week Essential program commences with three weeks of intensive technique training. During this module students are introduced to the award-winning acting principles of the Howard Fine Acting Studio. Students learn how to access authentic emotions in performance, how to analyse a script and how to rehearse effectively. This module also deals with common mistakes and the fundamentals of the craft of acting.

  • Scene Study is the actors’ gym, it is the arena where we put into practice all of the techniques we have learnt.

In this module students will deepen their understanding of the technique, and develop self-critiquing skills.

Students work with a partner on assigned scenes from The Studio’s extensive play library of modern classics and esteemed works.

  • ‘Auditioning’ focuses on empowering students to craft captivating auditions consistently.

With an emphasis on self-tape auditions, this unit aims to enhance and refine the student’s script analysis skills, character creation and emotional access in the high-pressure environment of the audition.

  • This part of the program further refines the students understanding of technique as they tackle challenging monologues.

With a particular focus on substantiating a character, finding personal connection to a character and emotional authenticity, this course unit focuses heavily on the individual.

  • The Speech and Singing for Actors program responds to the needs of actors to have a strong and powerful connection to their unique emotional sources, and uses vocal exercises to develop the actor’s ability to connect to text in performance.

Students will explore the application of emotional experiences when approaching their work, through personal story telling, song and spoken word, discovering ways to safely use their entire emotional range in performance.
