MEMORISATION FOR ACTORS WITH ALEXA ISPAS
This workshop is designed to help students learn their lines in half the usual time and be confident that they will be able to perform at their best even in high-pressure situations.
Most actors rely on old line learning habits and hope for the best. The result is that the lines don’t stick, anxiety ramps up, and their focus is split between trying to remember their lines and actually acting.
In this workshop, students develop a clear, repeatable, science-based process to learn their lines faster and more reliably than ever before using proven psychological principles of how memory works.
During the workshop, students develop the skills to:
Speed up line learning and handle tight memorisation deadlines
Remember their lines reliably regardless of circumstances
Walk into high-pressure situations feeling fully prepared
Reduce anxiety and stress around memorisation
Apply these techniques to any script straight away
By the end of the workshop, students will have a memorisation process they can rely on for the rest of their training and acting career, which will free them up to be fully present during their acting work.
The session also includes individual feedback where appropriate, to help students make the most of their natural strengths.
