As a founding member of Patalog Theatre, Ben has worked as an actor, producer and director to create challenging contemporary theatre. He’ll discuss the journey from an initial artistic impulse to a fully realised production, the realities of sustaining independent work, and how taking greater creative ownership can open pathways beyond what those actor initially imagines. 

The conversation will draw on Patalog’s critically acclaimed production of Never Closer, which returns to fortyfivedownstairs in October, as well as Ben’s current producing placement at the Royal Court Theatre in London.
